Cobá is one of the oldest archaeological sites, everything indicates that it was found in the year 100 BC. That is why architecture is considered simple compared to other sites. Tulum, located in one of the few cliffs of the Yucatan peninsula, was one of the last cities built and inhabited by the Maya. Although it is not the only archaeological site located in front of the beach in the world, as many people think; is the best preserved, and the largest, which makes it a great place to be photographed. To access the main site, you have to go through its walls and then marvel at the cliffs covered with ancient buildings and the turquoise color of the Caribbean Sea. Although it is great for a beachfront site, it is smaller compared to other inland sites. It was an active and dynamic city at the time when the Spaniards arrived and it was for them that the city disappeared, although it was one of the last places to be conquered.
